I have been taking all of my four-legged family members to Archer Vet for over 10 years. I have yet to have a bad experience with them. Dr. Johnson is the kind of vet that goes above and beyond for your pets, and all of his doctors are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I know my pets are in the best care when I take them there. The only downside to Archer Vet can be the waiting times while in office to see the doctors -BUT this is only because everyone want this vet clinic to be their own :)

Corner location, parking on site, small lot, trucks maybe best parked on street. Caution during snow/ice days, incline is at a steep grade. Nice efficient staff. Rooms need fresh coat of paint. Prices increased in past years. Exams quick, and Dont cover much for a regular exam. Basic check of Heart, temp, teeth, eyes, skin. $30+ and up. Nail trim w/ exam $12 approx. Staff pushes in necessary blood labs to pad bill.

Not sure what happened to the quality of service. Used to be 5 stars and today I'm rating them at 2-1/2 to 3 stars. They seem to be too busy. Dropped my pet off at 8:20 a.m. for surgery, they didn't take us until 8:40 a.m. I stated at the time of drop off that I wanted the pain meds and would pay extra for my pet. Said they would call when surgery was done. After work, still no call so I phoned them at 5 pm and they still did not do the surgery. I finally got a voice mail around 7:30 pm that it was done and over (so basically my pet did not eat for almost 24 hours and sat in a cage all day). Picked my pet up the next day and there was no pain medication. Archer Vet: What is going on with you guys? You used to be top notch and now . . . never thought I'd say this, but I'm highly disappointed. Would I use them again? Probably would give them a second chance.

Dr Johnson and his staff always have the best interest of the animal in mind. I drive almost an hour to see Dr Johnson. But I know my dog is in the best of hands. He is intelligent and kind and compassionate. He is a veterinarian for all the right reasons. I would only take my beloved fur family member to him and his staff. I'm never disappointed.

Very caring staff. We had taken our sick kitty in for a visit and they found cancer. They didn't try to charge us for unnecessary tests. They stayed late to help us in this very stressful time.
